This is the Apollo silver teardrop pendant necklaces from the early days of the M•A•R•S brand.
 
Featuring a unique design with a resin-encased genuine cinnamon ant in a gold-like color, this vintage piece is over 30 years old. The necklaces are rare and are no longer in production.
 
From the early days when designer Yosuke Yoneyama established the brand, the "Creature & Insect Series" was introduced in 1991, featuring insects encased in resin.
 
The series established the M•A•R•S World, where organic forms, particularly insects, were expressed with a streamlined beauty in form and detail.
 
Utilizing resin-encased actual cinnamon ants for a visual effect of appearing larger, the ant pendant became a representative work symbolizing the brand.
 
There is a small chip on the bottom of the golden-colored amber. This can be seen in photo 11, or 5 from the end.
